MONROEVILLE Public Library Monthly Newsletter We are so close to the end of the year, I cannot believe it! I am sure it will all just fly by! November: what a great month! A time to be grateful and thankful for all that we have. With that being said, I want to take a moment to show my appreciation to all of you. I am so thankful for each one of you that comes to the library. We wouldn' t be where we are without you, our patrons! I absolutely love that I have been given the chance to serve this fantastic community! Thank you! We will be closed Friday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day. I want to take a moment to thank every person who has served our great country. Finally, we will also be closed on Thursday, November 24th in observance of Thanksgiving. Illegal liquor flows freely and the dancing is reckless and exciting. One night she finds a dead body out behind the club and things start to turn dangerous from there! Worth reading for sure! Find it on the Libby App or here at the library! Bonnie: The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks-After 30 years Wilson Lewis has to find a way to get his wife Jane to fall in love with him again. Will everything go as planned or fall to pieces? Madi: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff-I love this book! I strongly recommend reading it, and if you like this one, there are even more! My mom used to read this one and others to me until I was old enough to read them on my own! Super funny and fun! Lindsey: The Measure by Nikki Erlick-If a box showed up on your doorstep and the contents inside determined the amount of time you had left on this earth would you open it? Follow the lives of 8 individuals each with a decision to make. Will they open the box? If they do, how will they choose to live their life given how short or long it is? Staff Book & Show Picks Storytime with Kate: Fridays from 11-12 Month Themes: November 4th: Cookies! November 11th: Library Closed: No Storytime! November 18th: It 's Thanksgiving! November 25th: No Storytime! Join us for an hour of early education, read aloud, craft, and snack! Our storytime follows a kindergarten readiness approach! Mindful Mondays with Lindsey: 4-5 pm A weekly creative outlet to unwind and destress! All ages are welcome, as we explore simple stress relieving activities! Each week will be a different activity! Acorn craft, Book Stamping, and more will be explored this month! In Stitches with Kate: Tuesdays 4-6 Come and join us for two hours of pure bliss working on your chosen needlework project! Kate will be on hand to help with basic knitting stitches! All are welcome! Book Club: Tuesday, November 29th 6-7pm Enjoy an hour of discussion on this months book The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. Yoga: Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm Adults 18+ Join Kate our 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher for a 1 hour flow to aid in flexibility, strength, balance, and most importantly, relaxation. Please provide your own yoga mat-Call ahead to reserve your space. Limit 6! Interactive Movie Bags by Madi: A monthly movie bag that contains a script, props, and popcorn to enjoy with the movie. This month is Rise of the Guardians! Turkey Bingo with Madi: Saturday November 19th 11-12pm Come play Bingo and win some pretty awesome prizes: All Ages Welcome! CURBSIDE SERVICES INFORMATION We are implementing a new curbside service for all your needs! We want everyone to be able to use the library regardless of if they can make it in the building or have the time to browse. Read through the steps and give us a call! Not feeling well? In a hurry? Have an injury? Well, our curbside services are for you! Call ahead and let us know what you are looking for. We will get everything ready and checked out. When you arrive call to let us know that you are here and where you are parked.
