I write this newsletter and it is a very bittersweet moment for me. The past 2+ years have been amazing and we have accomplished so much here at the library for the community. With a heavy heart I am informing you that I will be leaving the library at the end of the month. This was a truly difficult decision, but a new opportunity awaits me. We have Solar Eclipse glasses. There are limited numbers and they are one pair per person. This is on a first come first serve basis. All children who are of the age of preschool through senior year of high school will receive their glasses after the collaborated school event at the end of the month. We will not be passing out glasses to any children except for those families who homeschool, or their child does not attend the preschool at either two schools in Monroeville. Children under preschool age will not be eligible to receive eclipse glasses. You may pick up a pair of glasses starting Monday March 18th if you are a Monroeville Public Library card holder. All others will be able to pick up 1 pair of glasses starting Monday the 25th of March. We thank you in advance for your understanding. Finally, We have purchased a ToniesBox and 7 different Tonies characters to start with for patron use. They are able to be checked out individually for 2 weeks for Monroeville Public Library cardholders only. These collection materials can be found in the Children’s Department. ~Kate MONROEVILLE Public Library Monthly Newsletter Director's Letter N MARCH 1, 2024 VOL. 27
